Saint Louis University's Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, established by Oliver L. Parks in 1927, was the nation's first federally certified flight school. As the sole Jesuit university offering a flight program, Saint Louis University stands as a leading institution for aviation education. Rooted in Jesuit tradition, students develop the ability to make ethical choices that support their personal and career aspirations and enable them to positively impact their communities.
The Aviation Science Department holds accreditation from the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI), and accordingly, it employs the AABI Student Learning Outcomes in its ongoing evaluation procedures.
The AABI Student Learning Outcomes include:
A. Utilizing mathematics, science, and applied sciences in aviation fields
B. Assessing and understanding data
C. Collaborating productively in diverse, interdisciplinary teams
D. Exercising professional and ethical judgment
E. Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication abilities
To be considered for admission to any Saint Louis University undergraduate program, applicants must be graduating from an accredited high school, have an acceptable HiSET exam score or take the General Education Development (GED) test.
