The Environmental Studies and Sustainability (ESS) Bachelor of Arts program delivers a diverse range of interdisciplinary courses, primarily centered on Social Sciences, equipping students for careers in environmental fields or advanced academic pursuits. This program structure ensures students gain comprehensive understanding of human-environment interactions, analytical techniques, practical fieldwork competencies, political-economic frameworks, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Graduates will be qualified for positions across government bodies, corporate sectors, environmental consultancies, and non-governmental organizations. Completion requires a minor from outside the Geography Department, with the GIS certification program highly encouraged as a supplemental credential.
