Students enroll in the dual degree program as first-year applicants, gaining simultaneous acceptance into both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Participants in the dual degree pathway secure a spot in the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program, contingent upon maintaining program-specific academic standards throughout their undergraduate studies. This arrangement guarantees graduate program placement from their initial year, with defined milestones for advancement.
Through guidance from undergraduate advisors, engagement with Welch College of Business & Technology initiatives, and involvement in Computer Science department activities, students receive comprehensive support for successful transition to graduate-level work.
The MS in Cybersecurity Dual Degree Program enables students to obtain both Bachelor's and Master's degrees within five years. The curriculum includes four years of undergraduate study followed by one year of graduate coursework, culminating in dual degree conferral. Available to undergraduates majoring in:
Computer Engineering
Computer Science
Cybersecurity
Electrical Engineering
Game Design & Development
Information Technology
Dual degree candidates may apply up to six graduate credits toward both degree requirements during their undergraduate studies. This accelerated pathway reduces overall tuition costs, as these credits are covered under full-time undergraduate tuition rates.
