Students enroll in the dual degree program as first-year undergraduates, gaining simultaneous acceptance into both the undergraduate program and the I/O Psychology graduate track. This early admission guarantees their place in the graduate program from day one, with defined milestones to meet for advancing to graduate-level studies.
With guidance from their undergraduate advisors, along with engagement in College of Arts & Sciences and I/O Psychology program initiatives, students receive comprehensive support to smoothly transition into graduate coursework.
The I/O Psychology Dual Degree Program enables students to obtain both a Bachelor's and Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology within five years. The first four years focus on completing undergraduate requirements, followed by one year of graduate study, culminating in both degrees. This pathway is available to all undergraduate majors except nursing and interdisciplinary studies.
Participants in the I/O Psychology dual degree can take up to six graduate credits during their undergraduate years, applying these toward both degrees. This approach reduces overall graduate tuition costs since these credits are covered under full-time undergraduate tuition rates.
