Psychology explores the study of behavior. Our courses provide foundational principles, methodologies, and theories to deepen comprehension of human and animal actions. Pursuing Psychology leads to a broad liberal arts education rather than vocational training for a particular profession. This major enhances self-awareness, social understanding, and cultivates abilities in problem-solving, project coordination, and information evaluation. Students often customize their coursework based on three common career trajectories: advanced academic studies, applying psychological concepts to human challenges, or entering unrelated professional fields. Approximately one-quarter of alumni continue their education in psychology, medicine, or legal studies. More than half transition directly into employment. Career possibilities span assessment and treatment services, personnel administration, residential support programs, and community assistance initiatives. Psychology degree holders also secure positions in substance abuse intervention, mental health facilities, educational testing, counseling services for various age groups, and family support programs.
