As a physics, engineering physics, or optical engineering student, you'll gain early access to our cutting-edge MiNDS lab. You'll acquire practical skills across multiple specialized domains such as laser technology, fiber optics, imaging systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and silicon photonics.
The physics program builds comprehensive expertise in both classical and contemporary physics, preparing students for advanced specialization, graduate studies, or research roles in industrial settings. The coursework focuses on fundamental physical principles while incorporating significant mathematical training.

Qualification Requirements

Incoming students are expected to complete the following high school courses: Four years of Mathematics; Four years of English; Lab sciences in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. If English is not your native language: TOEFL Minimums - 88 Internet Based with a minimum of 20 in each area. IELTS Minimums - 6.5 or above with a minimum of 6.0 in each area. Duolingo Minimums - score of 110 or above. Exemption from the TOEFL/IELTS requirement is provided to students who score highly enough on the SAT or ACT standardized test. This exemption will be provided to students who have achieved one of the following score(s): 500 or higher on the SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing section; 21 or higher on the ACT English section. All other international applicants for whom English is a second language are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
