The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies offers students a versatile, comprehensive foundation in theatrical arts. This program allows participants to focus on specific theatre concentrations like stage management, design, directing, or dramaturgy, or combine theatre studies with external fields such as business, social justice, psychology, or fine arts. Each student's curriculum in the Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies Program can be personalized to align with their individual passions and professional aspirations. Housed within the Interdisciplinary Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA), the program features instruction from both dedicated faculty members and working theatre practitioners who contribute their specialized skills. CCPA provides an intimate learning environment with small class sizes, ensuring personalized attention for every student. The program's adaptable structure also permits students to enroll in courses across Roosevelt University's diverse academic offerings, including Business, Creative Writing, Women's and Gender Studies, Art, or Psychology.

Qualification Requirements

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows:
Complete the online application.
Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Students with a GPA just below 2.0 may be still considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University.
If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts.
Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
