A specialized degree program focused on educating deaf and hard-of-hearing students. This program offers dual New York State certification in both deaf education and a secondary subject area (mathematics, science, history, or English language arts). The MS in Secondary Education for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing Students welcomes deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing individuals with a strong commitment to teaching. Participants in this program will obtain dual certification, qualifying them to teach both hearing and deaf students in secondary school subjects, along with K-12 deaf education instruction.
