This safe imaging technique utilizes high-frequency sound waves to generate detailed images of internal structures, widely employed for examining the heart, circulatory system, abdominal organs, fetal development, and reproductive systems. RIT's comprehensive ultrasound curriculum builds from fundamental studies in biology, anatomy, and physiology to specialized sonography training. Students gain extensive classroom knowledge coupled with immersive scanning practice in our advanced Ultrasound Scanning Suite, mastering instrumentation and examination techniques for vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, and abdominal imaging.
