In RIT's civil engineering technology program, you'll acquire the applied theory, knowledge, and capabilities needed to assess and address intricate problems created by our country's expanding infrastructure requirements. When infrastructure functions properly, it goes unnoticed. However, when clean water stops flowing from taps, when roads and bridges deteriorate, or when dams fail and inundate neighborhoods, our focus immediately turns to infrastructure and how its breakdown profoundly affects our daily existence.
The professionals who prioritize infrastructure are civil engineers tasked with examining challenges and developing solutions for our nation's increasing infrastructure demands. Through RIT's civil engineering technology curriculum, you'll master designing bridges and structures, evaluating traffic patterns, overseeing complex construction projects, and tackling environmental concerns including safe drinking water and efficient wastewater treatment.
