The Master's in Computational and Applied Mathematics (MCAAM) is a specialized graduate program tailored for those pursuing technical careers in business or industry. This program equips students with core computational and applied mathematics skills needed to solve challenging scientific, engineering, and business problems. Unlike traditional master's programs, the MCAAM doesn't mandate a thesis.
Full-time students typically finish the MCAAM in 1.5-2 years. Remarkably, all MCAAM graduates secure job offers prior to graduation. Rice undergraduates can potentially complete the degree in just one additional year by strategically aligning their undergraduate coursework. Professionals already in the workforce may opt for part-time study while maintaining their industry positions.
