As a Master of Fine Arts student in Textiles, you'll enhance your existing technical abilities and design methodology while pursuing independent research to cultivate a unique artistic perspective. This understanding of design reflects our ever-changing cultural landscape. The two-year MFA program concentrates on woven, knitted, and printed fabric design for both fashion and interior applications. Designed for individuals with textile experience and visual studies training, the curriculum helps refine your abilities, establish your creative voice, and master the technical and artistic possibilities of textile media. Graduate seminars and focused studies in drawing and color theory strengthen analytical and critical thinking. The initial year builds upon your creative foundation while introducing digital design tools, while the second year offers deeper specialization in weaving, knitting, or surface design. The program concludes with a thesis project combining practical studio work and written components during your final semester.
