The four-year Illustration BFA program offers a primarily self-guided journey through various media, helping students develop a firm grasp of modern themes and ideas. Instructors promote sharp observational skills, robust conceptual development, and proficiency in hands-on techniques essential for effectively communicating ideas. During the initial year, second-year students concentrate on building both creative insight and technical abilities. Classes in illustrative problem-solving foster innovative thinking and clear concept development, while drawing and painting courses enhance fundamental visual creation skills. Third-year students select from diverse electives covering traditional and digital tools, as well as image development for professional contexts. The curriculum also supports participation in professional internships and self-directed research initiatives.
