If you aspire to drive change in healthcare policy or emerge as a leader in management consulting, this program offers distinctive insights into organizational dynamics and legal interactions. You'll cultivate adaptable negotiation and analytical abilities that provide an advantage whether you pursue corporate law, public policy, or entrepreneurship.
The School of Law and School of Business emphasize collaborative, experiential learning methods. Through group projects and simulated trials, you'll refine leadership and problem-solving capabilities. The program also offers opportunities to engage with actual clients via clinics and externships, where you can assist local community members with IRS disputes and other legal matters. Additionally, business school study trips to Asia, Europe, and South America broaden your international outlook.
From orientation onward, comprehensive support is available, including our Day One mentorship initiative that connects you with faculty advisors and upper-level law students. Both schools' extensive alumni networks prove invaluable when securing externships and employment. Graduates hold positions at leading firms like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and GE, while actively participating in Quinnipiac's career events.
While traditional MBA and JD programs require 45 and 86 credits respectively, the dual-degree option reduces this to 33 business and 77 law credits—saving 21 credits total. Both degrees must be completed simultaneously.
Academic advisors from both schools will help tailor your curriculum through approved course schedules and shared credit arrangements. Flexible full-time or part-time enrollment options are available.
