As crucial members of the diagnostic medical team, radiologic technologists employ advanced imaging technology and clinical procedures to identify various injuries and diseases, guaranteeing precise patient assessments and care plans.

Working as a radiographer or radiologic technologist, you'll give doctors and medical professionals a clear view into a patient's condition, uncovering issues from simple fractures and respiratory infections to chronic diseases and malignant growths. You'll apply hands-on expertise in radiology principles, radiation protection, along with physics, human anatomy, and disease processes. Our program combines theoretical instruction, laboratory work, and clinical rotations to develop these competencies while training you to become a skilled entry-level professional.

Our JRCERT-accredited curriculum merges classroom learning with hands-on practice. This approach allows you to implement your growing expertise when treating actual patients in clinical environments, guided by experienced technologists. The skills you acquire will qualify you for radiography positions in hospitals, specialized clinics, and private medical offices immediately after graduation.

The 3-year Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences program accepts qualified students. During your senior year, you'll qualify to take the ARRT certification examination, required for practice in Connecticut and nearly all U.S. states. After obtaining licensure, you can begin your professional journey or consider graduate studies. Quinnipiac provides Master of Health Science programs in Radiologist Assistant and Advanced Medical Imaging and Leadership for those seeking higher qualifications and an advantage in the competitive healthcare field.
