Athletic trainers assist diverse patients in injury prevention and recovery, serving athletes across sports like football, field hockey, baseball, basketball, and ice hockey. Their expertise extends beyond traditional sports venues—you might spot them backstage aiding injured dancers with ice therapy and rehab plans, or on military bases guiding Navy SEALs through rigorous training exercises.
Our athletic training curriculum combines hands-on clinical practice with comprehensive studies in anatomy, physiology, fitness, nutrition, and health sciences. Students gain experience working with Quinnipiac's 21 Division I athletic teams, local high school athletes, and patients in community healthcare environments, all mentored by certified professionals.
Graduates can pursue advanced studies at Quinnipiac, including a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Our alumni have secured prestigious internships nationwide with organizations like the NFL's New York Giants, the University of Tennessee, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and numerous other institutions.
