BA in Family and Consumer Sciences- Fashion and Textiles in Queens United States | Queens College, CUNY

Our curriculum equips students with expertise in garment construction and technical fashion design, quality assurance in apparel manufacturing, eco-conscious methods, computer-aided design, fabric treatment and embellishment techniques, textile creation, historical fashion studies, material innovation, and fashion media. Through hands-on experience with the Queens College Costume Collection, students master museum-standard collection preservation and exhibition techniques.

Alumni pursue careers as material specialists, textile agency associates, accessory department managers, production planning coordinators, junior designers, quality assurance professionals, and patternmaking assistants. Career paths also include fashion retail leadership roles, as well as positions in costume preservation and historical fashion collections.
