The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Queens College provides ACS-accredited programs in both Chemistry and Biochemistry. Our curriculum features undergraduate and graduate degrees, including BS, BS/MS, and MS options with concentrations in Chemistry and Biochemistry. We additionally provide a BA in chemistry education that leads to NY state certification for grades 7-12 chemistry instruction, in partnership with secondary education programs. Our mission is to deliver a comprehensive, rigorous academic experience that develops students' analytical, laboratory, and digital collaboration abilities, preparing them for success across all chemical and biochemical disciplines. The program objectives and career-focused training aim to strengthen students' molecular understanding of nature through contemporary, quantitative, and mechanistic methods while providing practical competencies for professional advancement.
