The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Queens College provides ACS-accredited programs in both Chemistry and Biochemistry. Our curriculum features undergraduate and graduate degrees, including BS, BS/MS, and MS options with concentrations in Chemistry or Biochemistry. We additionally provide a BA in chemistry education that leads to NY state certification for teaching grades 7-12, in partnership with secondary education programs. Our mission is to deliver a comprehensive, rigorous education that develops students' analytical, laboratory, and digital competencies for success in chemical and biochemical careers. Through our programs, students gain a sophisticated molecular understanding of nature using contemporary quantitative methods and mechanistic thinking, while acquiring practical skills for professional advancement.
