Graduate studies in applied linguistics and linguistics are offered through the School of Interdisciplinary Studies under the College of Liberal Arts.
Master's candidates must complete at least 30 graduate credit hours (or 24 hours if choosing the thesis option). Doctoral candidates need 60 post-baccalaureate course hours plus a 30-credit dissertation. Full-time students typically finish the M.A. in four semesters. Degree candidates gain teaching experience at the college level during their studies. With an advantageous faculty-to-student ratio, the program ensures personalized academic advising and maintains small class sizes for graduate courses and seminars.
