The MSM program prepares students for careers in church music—a field with abundant job prospects—while also laying the groundwork for doctoral studies or alternative professional paths like music education, ministry, or performance.
This two-year, 48-credit-hour MSM degree includes coursework in applied music, sacred music history, analysis, and liturgical studies. Candidates specialize in one of three studios: Choral Conducting, Organ, or Voice, while also developing secondary skills in areas like voice, organ, piano, continuo, or conducting. Graduates emerge as versatile musicians, equipped with the playing, conducting, and vocal abilities needed to lead music programs in churches, schools, and broader communities.
