Our research-focused doctoral program equips students with the advanced knowledge to tackle significant educational challenges. This degree path involves completing a dissertation and earning 60 graduate credits post-masters, comprising 45-50 course credits plus 10-15 dissertation research credits. Students develop their research plans in consultation with their advisory committee and the department's graduate committee.
The curriculum combines core education classes, specialized subjects, and five research methodology courses. Those pursuing educational psychology or gifted education must achieve at least a B grade in all courses to receive credit.
