The Law, Politics, and Economics concentration (LPE) caters to students fascinated by these three core areas of anthropological study. LPE participants explore fundamental concepts of value systems, trade, and fairness, along with cross-cultural examinations of legal systems, governance, economic progress, worldwide integration, and small-scale economic behavior. This specialization mandates completion of nine courses - three core requirements and six departmental electives centered on legal, economic, and political themes (refer to the sample options provided). Track participants may replace up to two electives with anthropology courses from outside the LPE focus and can enroll in two related courses from other disciplines.
