The Bachelor of Science in Technology with a Construction Management specialization holds accreditation from ABET's Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (www.abet.org). Both Construction Engineering Technology and Construction Management programs start with hands-on training in construction materials and techniques before advancing to laboratory work, project management, and engineering technology studies. While Construction Engineering Technology focuses on engineering principles, Construction Management incorporates specialized courses in residential building, civil projects, safety protocols, virtual design/construction, field operations, and business management. Each program culminates with an immersive capstone project mirroring real-world scenarios. The School of Construction actively supports various student groups and honor societies. Graduates from both programs are well-equipped for diverse roles in the construction sector, including positions as field engineers, cost estimators, project supervisors, superintendents, safety officers, and company executives across residential, commercial, civil, industrial, and specialty construction markets worldwide. The curriculum prioritizes modern technologies, ethical leadership, and professional development, integrating industry-standard software for CAD, scheduling, cost estimation, and modeling from introductory courses onward. State-of-the-art laboratories feature current industry equipment. The school benefits from robust industry connections and alumni networks, receiving substantial support through scholarships, equipment donations, career guidance, and job placement assistance.
