This program enables graduates from accredited two-year associate degree technical programs to further their education and training. All associate degree holders (with a minimum 2.50 GPA) can seamlessly transfer up to 64 college credits to Pittsburg State University. By completing an additional minimum of 60 credit hours at Pittsburg State University, graduates earn a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a technology major and chosen emphasis. The curriculum builds upon prior academic and technical foundations.

Similar to two-year technical programs, this bachelor's degree provides comprehensive, practical training for real-world careers. Students develop engineering technology expertise, theoretical understanding, logical reasoning, leadership capabilities, and business competencies to expand their knowledge and enhance their readiness for management positions. The coursework offers both specialized focus and broad coverage. Emphasis options align with the programs completed during associate degree studies. Through the Automotive Technology department, technical emphasis areas include Automotive Power Mechanics, Collision Repair and Insurance Management, Diesel and Heavy Equipment, and Diesel and Heavy Equipment (Caterpillar ThinkBIGGER) Emphasis.

Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) offers students who have graduated from an accredited two-year associate degree technical program the opportunity to extend their education and training.Copy of the secondary school or high school certificate of completion or diploma, if applicable High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post secondary institution (college/university) TOEFL score of at least 68 (iBT) is required. Overall score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.0
