The Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management program equips students with hands-on cooking skills and theoretical knowledge for diverse culinary careers, spanning restaurants, hotels, cruise lines, catering services, food product innovation, small-scale food businesses, culinary media, and entrepreneurship.
Students explore global cuisines and modern American cooking techniques, along with pastry arts, while learning both traditional and innovative hospitality service methods. The program features practical training through managing the Laney College Cafeteria and Bistro Restaurant - a fully student-operated modern American dining establishment on campus. Additionally, we assist students in securing cooperative education internships and employment opportunities.
Professional experience gained during the program may be applied as additional credits toward degree completion.
