The Biomanufacturing Production Associate of Science degree expands upon the curriculum from the Certificate of Proficiency and Achievement programs, equipping graduates for technician roles in the biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. Students will gain expertise in operating and maintaining equipment for producing protein-based pharmaceuticals, cultivating bacterial, yeast, and mammalian cells, and harvesting the proteins these cells generate. They will adhere to good manufacturing practices by keeping accurate records to meet quality assurance standards and governmental regulations.
Program Learning Outcomes
Assemble and handle laboratory apparatus, execute experimental techniques, recognize potential error sources, and follow safety protocols for laboratory equipment usage.
Utilize industry-standard documentation methods such as laboratory notebooks, SOPs, or batch records, and compose clear, thorough laboratory reports as needed.
Articulate and discuss, both orally and in writing, the scientific principles covered in the course material, along with their application to real-world situations across diverse interdisciplinary settings.
Students must have completed High School/Secondary School Diploma. Applicant must have TOEFL score of 61 ibt, or 6 on the IELTS test. Deadlines to Apply: Fall - June 15; Spring – November 15.
