The Associate of Science degree will be granted after successfully completing the major coursework for each specialization along with the General Education requirements detailed in the Degrees and Programs section of this Catalog.
The Airframe and Powerplant Certificates of Achievement programs combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on training in constructing, inspecting, overhauling, repairing, and maintaining aircraft structures, systems, and engines.
This program holds Federal Aviation Administration approval. Students who complete each course with a grade of C or higher become eligible to take the FAA examination for Airframe and Powerplant certification.
Career Prospects
Certified airframe and powerplant mechanics (A&P) are qualified to inspect and maintain aircraft. Employment opportunities exist globally across numerous locations.
