The program teaches students practical construction skills through hands-on experience, involving them in every stage of the building process. This includes both conventional techniques and modern approaches like high-performance construction, sustainable practices, and prefabricated home manufacturing. Students in the carpentry program work on constructing new houses and renovating existing ones. Those pursuing the Carpentry A.S. degree can use it toward the experience requirement for contractor licensing or to develop specialized home renovation expertise.

Demonstrate proficiency in Carpentry/Construction Trades terminology through written, spoken, and mathematical applications.
