The Associate in Arts in Journalism for Transfer Degree (AA-T JOURN) prepares students to transfer smoothly with junior standing and priority admission to a CSU campus for Journalism or related bachelor's degree programs. Requirements include: Completing 60 semester or 90 quarter transferable units to CSU, encompassing both: (A) The IGETC or CSU General Education Breadth Requirements, and (B) At least 18 semester or 27 quarter units in a district-approved major or emphasis area. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and earn a C or higher in all major courses, with no more than 60 semester units needed. The AA-T JOURN also facilitates transfer to UC or other bachelor's degree programs. Students should meet with a counselor to confirm transfer requirements.
