The Associate in Arts Degree in History for Transfer (AA-T HIST) aims to equip students with knowledge about various societies and the historical forces that have influenced our world. By completing the History AA-T curriculum, students will examine themes like identity, community, knowledge, awareness, understanding, communication, and significance while navigating the wide-ranging field of historical study. Requirements include: Finishing 60 semester or 90 quarter units transferable to the California State University, encompassing both: (A) The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or CSU General Education Breadth Requirements, and (B) At least 18 semester or 27 quarter units in a major or focus area, as specified by the community college. A minimum 2.0 GPA is mandatory, with a grade of C or higher in all major-related courses. The degree requires no more than 60 semester units. The AA-T HIST also facilitates transfer to UC or other bachelor's degree programs. Students should meet with a counselor to confirm transfer criteria.
