The art department welcomes students from all backgrounds into the realm of artistic study through courses in studio practice and art historical exploration. We aim to develop programs that support your general education needs, facilitate fine arts degree completion, launch creative careers, or foster artistic engagement throughout life. Our department fosters an inclusive, vibrant learning environment where individuals connect through shared artistic interests. Hands-on courses like painting and drawing provide opportunities for creative discovery with a focus on individual voice. You'll tackle design challenges through experimental approaches. Art history courses delve into visual culture, inviting active examination and thoughtful analysis of humanity's diverse artistic creations.
Additionally:all classes emphasize foundational skill development every course is led by practicing artists and/or qualified art historians participants engage deeply with innovative concepts you can pursue an AAT degree in either Studio Arts or Art History
