Historically, public policy programs focused on preparing students to become analysts who develop efficient government initiatives. While maintaining strong emphasis on analytical skills, Pepperdine's School of Public Policy emphasizes cultivating leaders capable of applying these methods to drive meaningful impact across government, private enterprises, and nonprofit organizations. Upon earning their MPP degree, we support graduates in securing positions aligned with their leadership aspirations.
In addition to practical skills, thriving in public policy demands profound understanding derived from studying the historical and philosophical foundations of free societies, along with exposure to transformative ideas, bold intellectuals, and exceptional leadership examples.
Before matriculating as a student at the Pepperdine School of Public Policy, all students must have a conferred bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university in any area of study.
