A Master's in Dispute Resolution (MDR) from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law's Straus Institute enhances your Juris Doctor (JD) studies by providing essential problem-solving and conflict management training. The MDR program consists of 32 total units
For Pepperdine Caruso JD candidates:
14 units can be applied toward both your JD and MDR degrees
This leaves just 18 additional dispute resolution units to finish the MDR
Students typically complete these remaining units by:
Completing 8-10 dispute resolution units during a summer session, and
Enrolling in Straus' Winter Intensive courses, and/or
Adding extra classes during their second or third law school years
All applicants for admission must have received a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university prior to registration.
Pepperdine will accept a GRE score for admission.
Applicants are urged to take the LSAT no later than March of the year in which admission is sought.
Submit examination results demonstrating an acceptable level of English proficiency. The Straus Institute only accepts the TOEFL and IELTS examination.
