Pepperdine Caruso School of Law provides an intensive two-year Juris Doctor (JD) program that can be combined with a certificate from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. This unique and forward-thinking model combines top-tier legal training with specialized skills development for modern legal practice. The Accelerated Option is ideal for driven students seeking to complete their legal education more quickly.
Graduates of the Accelerated Option can join the workforce a full year earlier than traditional three-year JD students, giving them a head start in their careers. Following an introductory summer term starting in May, accelerated students join standard first-year JD courses and progress through the regular curriculum. The program consists of four semesters and two summer sessions. While following a more structured timeline, accelerated students still enjoy access to diverse electives, clinical programs, externships, law journals (including Pepperdine Law Review), and interscholastic moot court and trial competitions.
All applicants for admission must have received a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university prior to registration.
Submit examination results demonstrating an acceptable level of English proficiency. The Straus Institute only accepts the TOEFL and IELTS examination.
