The Theatre Program at Seaver College offers intensive performing arts training within a liberal arts framework. Students gain practical experience through high-quality stage productions and regular master classes led by industry professionals, immersing them in the world of professional theatre.
Theatre arts majors develop both intellectual and artistic skills for careers in acting, directing, film, musical theatre, and production design, while acquiring practical knowledge for professional settings. Students contribute to Seaver College's vibrant cultural scene by performing in University productions using cutting-edge facilities.
Our foundational curriculum operates on the principle that theatre students are first and foremost artists who thrive by deepening their knowledge and passion for the craft. Essential courses in design, dramaturgy, technical theatre, history, and arts activism provide fundamental knowledge that serves as a strong foundation, whether students pursue theatre careers or transition to related entertainment fields like film and television.
