Pepperdine University's English program emphasizes writing and rhetoric, literary analysis, and digital humanities, equipping students with strong communication abilities, linguistic insight, and heightened ethical and global perspectives. English majors develop the innovative thinking and analytical abilities valued across media, tech, and corporate sectors.

The education track prepares future middle and high school English teachers through a combined bachelor's degree and teaching credential program. As a state-approved subject matter program, it exempts students from CSET requirements.

The literature concentration covers British, American, and world literatures alongside critical theory and digital humanities, ideal for aspiring college instructors or professionals needing advanced research and writing capabilities. Graduates pursue graduate studies in English or enter fields like law and library science.

The writing and rhetoric specialization readies students for publishing careers, writing-focused professions, or advanced study in writing programs and professional schools such as law.

If your current high school is within the United States, the U.S. high school may submit a copy of the original official transcript they received from a previous school. Students who have completed an IB certificate of diploma, must request the official exam results from the IB organization (IBO) to finalize their high school transcript requirement and be considered for advanced standing credit.
