Our M.P.S. in Forensic Science provides students with core knowledge in criminalistics while allowing specialization in either Forensic Biology or Forensic Chemistry. Learners can explore personal forensic interests through dedicated research projects on subjects of their choosing.

Penn State University's two-year Forensic Science Master's program delivers a cutting-edge curriculum featuring practical instruction in crime scene analysis and laboratory procedures. Students gain hands-on experience using modern forensic training facilities and labs, with focused education in forensic biology, chemistry, and criminalistics. The program also prepares students for forensic science's legal aspects through courtroom observations and interactions with forensic professionals, legal practitioners, and law enforcement personnel.

While thesis writing isn't mandatory, students must conduct research meeting publication standards. Working with their advisors, participants may develop independent projects or contribute to ongoing research initiatives.
