The Master of Science in Landscape Architecture is a two-year graduate program designed for professionals holding an accredited degree in landscape architecture or architecture who wish to enhance their research capabilities. This M.S. program serves as an excellent pathway for individuals aiming to develop advanced research skills for careers in professional practice or academia.
Within this research-intensive degree, students collaborate with distinguished Penn State faculty on specialized research projects, which could involve creating digital tools for collaborative landscape planning or examining how cultural factors influence environmental decision-making. Working closely with an advisor, each student crafts a personalized research focus and academic plan aligned with their professional aspirations.
Participants in this program gain access to funded research projects through our school's research centers, as well as interdisciplinary institutes throughout the University.
