Our distinguished faculty members have received some of the highest accolades in writing, including Guggenheim, NEA, Ingram Merrill, Stegner, Dobie-Paisano, Bunting, and Fulbright Senior Scholar Fellowships, along with Lamda Literary, Whiting Writers, and O. Henry Awards, plus multiple Pushcart Prizes. They've held residencies at renowned locations such as Breadloaf, Yaddo, Millay, and MacDowell Colonies, with their works featured in prestigious publications like Poetry, The New York Times, Esquire, The Village Voice, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Antioch Review, Epoch, New Letters, Gulf Coast, The Clackamas Literary Review, Descant, and Texas Bound, among countless others. Our MA program accepts qualified internal candidates in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, requiring a 30-credit curriculum completed over two years. Graduates often embark on careers in editing, writing, education, and other creative fields, while some continue their studies with MFA or PhD programs in creative writing elsewhere.
