The Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology's programs deliver extensive coursework and practical training, equipping future toxicologists and environmental health scientists for professional roles in academic, governmental, and industrial settings. Our environmental and molecular program features M.S. degrees (both thesis and non-thesis options) and Ph.D. degrees. We also provide an Accelerated Masters Program (AMP-TOX), along with undergraduate and graduate toxicology minors. Complementing these options, students can pursue a Graduate Certificate in Toxicology, broadening our academic portfolio.
By merging biological and physical sciences, our interdisciplinary curriculum fosters research and training in molecular and computational toxicology, environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, and risk assessment—supporting cutting-edge, globally competitive research, outreach, and education initiatives. Core required courses, specialized advanced training, and collaborative experiential learning opportunities reinforce students' foundational science expertise while deepening their applied toxicology knowledge.
