The graduate program in human development and family studies culminates in a Doctor of Philosophy degree. This multidisciplinary curriculum equips students for academic careers in teaching and research, along with roles in program development, administration, and assessment for individuals and families throughout their lives.

Our research spans multiple disciplines, focusing on key areas: (a) life transitions, (b) risk factors and resilience throughout life, and (c) developmental and family research methodologies.
