This program equips students to serve as Associate Teachers or Co-Teachers in early childhood education settings. It covers recognizing developmental milestones, designing age-appropriate curricula, fostering learning across all developmental areas, and nurturing social-emotional skills. Participants will obtain practical experience in preschool environments to refine their teaching methods and engagement techniques. The curriculum satisfies Title 22 licensing standards, Title 5 requirements for the Child Development Permit at the teacher level, and the 24-unit ECE prerequisite for Transitional Kindergarten instructors.
