The Associate Arts in Economics for Transfer (AA-T) emphasizes core theories and frameworks in microeconomics and macroeconomics. In Microeconomics, learners explore optimal choices by producers and consumers, market structures, and how decision-making principles apply to classic microeconomic issues. Topics covered might involve tax burdens, market inefficiencies, global trade, price regulations, and market performance. In Macroeconomics, students analyze economic theories as they relate to markets, national output, joblessness, price stability, economic expansion, government spending policies, central banking, the Federal Reserve, and global economics. Furthermore, those pursuing the Associate in Arts in Economics for Transfer (AA-T) gain proficiency in economics' quantitative language: calculus and statistics. Key mathematical concepts like derivatives, integrals, optimization techniques, probability theory, and statistical analysis are mastered. These analytical methods form the basis for advanced economic study.
