The Bachelor of Arts in economics upholds the liberal arts tradition by including language and arts courses that meet the university's BA requirements. In addition to six core economics classes, students can select from more than 40 elective options. Numerous electives extend this liberal arts approach, offering classes in economic literature, historical economic perspectives, the evolution of economic theory, and political economy. Those planning to pursue a PhD in economics are advised to either double major in economics (BS) and mathematics (BS) or opt for the joint economics/mathematics program.

All first-year applicants are required to submit the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR). Once your application is submitted and processed, you will be able to access your SRAR through the Application Status Check portal.
All high school transcripts must be sent directly to Northeastern by your high school by the application deadline. Any transcripts sent by you, your family or an independent educational consultant will not be accepted.
First-year applicants must provide a transcript which includes final grades from grades 9, 10, and 11 (or the international equivalents).
