Qualification Requirements

.Students may be admitted directly to the PhD program with either a bachelor's or a master's degree. Prior to applying for admission, students are encouraged to visit the department's website and ensure that their research interests match with that of a faculty member. Students are expected to show proficiency in Problem Solving and Programming, Introduction to Computer Architecture, Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms, Introduction to Theoretical Computer Science, and Operating Systems at an undergraduate level. Those entering the PhD program with deficiencies in these areas will have to make them up.
An earned baccalaureate degree from institutions of higher education accredited by accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for Title IV purposes or international equivalent. at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average for admission to a doctoral program
