This five-year dual degree program in Physics and Electrical Engineering awards students both a B.S. and B.S.E.E. upon completion, offering exceptional preparation for graduate studies or industrial careers.
Chosen by the University for national recognition, the program benefits from Old Dominion's close location (just 30 minutes away) to the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF), a global leader in nuclear physics research, and NASA Langley Research Center. Over the last two decades, the Physics department has expanded significantly, doubling its faculty count while adding new teaching spaces, lab facilities, and upgraded computer-based undergraduate labs. The newly constructed Physical Sciences Research Building further enhances research possibilities for both graduate and undergraduate students.
