Old Dominion University's accounting undergraduate program stands among a distinguished few nationwide to earn specialized AACSB-International accreditation. This comprehensive program offers diverse career pathways through its well-rounded curriculum. The Accounting General (AG) concentration equips students with technical expertise, analytical skills, effective communication abilities, teamwork competence, and ethical decision-making capabilities essential for entry-level accounting roles. Our curriculum not only readies graduates for their initial accounting position but also lays the foundation for advanced studies or professional certification exams. The program draws a diverse student body, including military veterans, international students from various nations, a balanced gender representation, and both traditional and non-traditional aged learners. We also welcome many students pursuing second degrees. Surprisingly approachable, our faculty provide invaluable support regarding coursework, academic matters, career preparation, and even personal guidance.
