The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies provides a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy with three specialization tracks: general studies, political and legal studies, and religious studies. This curriculum aims to equip students with a strong foundation in philosophy's historical evolution and the skills to critically evaluate arguments in rigorous academic discourse. Those drawn to religious studies can pursue it as either a minor or select it as their primary focus within the philosophy major. An accelerated BA/MA pathway allows high-achieving philosophy students to apply up to 12 graduate credits toward both degrees simultaneously. The program requires completion of at least 150 total credit hours (120 distinct credits for the bachelor's and 30 distinct credits for the master's degree).
