The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (BAIS) is a multidisciplinary program enabling students to examine global connections between countries and cultures while analyzing international issues through diverse viewpoints. The BAIS degree, available as both a major and minor, emphasizes world languages, cultural studies, geography, history, and political science. Learners enjoy significant freedom to tailor their coursework according to individual goals, whether focusing on specific regions or thematic areas.
High-achieving students may qualify for the combined BA/MA program in international studies. This accelerated pathway permits outstanding candidates to apply up to 12 credit hours of coursework toward both their bachelor's and master's degrees. Participants must complete at least 150 total credits (with 120 distinct credits for the undergraduate portion and 30 unique credits for the graduate component).
